Morning Announcements

Good morning Timken. Today is Thursday, March 11th and these are your morning announcements.  

 

The word of the week is "slope" (S-L-O-P-E).  Slope is defined as the steepness of a line.  In math, it is rise over run, or, given two points on a line (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), it is the difference in the "y" values over the difference in the "x" values.  The formula is m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1).   (Read this as y2 minus y1 over x2 minus x1)

Welcome to Timken Senior High School.  I am proud to be the principal  at Timken  Sr. High School where for the second consecutive year, Timken is in  “Continuous Improvement."   Timken also is  making  a significant gain in our School Performance Index as well as increasing our graduation rate throughout the past 5 years.
